An independent, locally owned home inspection company
More Home Inspections is a licensed, bonded and insured inspection company serving Los Angeles and Ventura County. We were built around one idea: the inspector you hire should be the one who shows up, inspects the property, writes the report and answers your questions afterward.
One company, one standard, every property
More Home Inspections is a small, independent company by design. There is no call center and no rotating crew, so appointments are never handed off or rushed. We inspect one property at a time and look at every home the way we would want ours looked at.
The work covers the whole picture: roof and roof drainage, attic and insulation, foundation, grading and drainage, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, chimney, exterior, interior, and — when it applies — evidence of wood destroying organisms such as termites. Steep, fragile or otherwise hard-to-reach roofs are documented with an FAA Part 107 certified drone when conditions allow.
Our inspectors, one standard
Every inspection is performed by a Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) from our own team: an InterNACHI member who is also a WDO inspector and an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot. The inspector who documents your property answers the phone before and after the visit, so the standard does not change from one property to the next.
Reports are written in plain English with photographs of what was found and why it matters. A first-time buyer and an experienced investor should both be able to read the same report and know what to do next. If anything is unclear after you read it, call and ask.

See what is inspectedIndependent findings, plain language, honest limits
Inspections are performed to the InterNACHI Standards of Practice, with extra attention to the conditions that show up over and over in Southern California housing.
Independent
The inspection is for you, not for the sale. Conditions are reported as they are found, with the reasoning behind each note.
Plain language
Every note explains what was found, where it was found and what it can mean — not just a pile of trade jargon.
Photographed
Photographs of the conditions that were observed, so you can see what the inspector saw instead of taking it on faith.
Honest limits
A home inspection is visual and non-invasive. When something needs a licensed specialist, an engineer or further evaluation, the report says so.
Southern California focus. Expansive clay soils, slope and drainage, stucco and siding details, aging service panels and original galvanized or polybutylene plumbing show up regularly across the region. Those conditions get specific attention here, along with seismic retrofitting and roof covering performance.
What actually happens on site
Plan on a few hours, depending on size, age and how accessible everything is. You are welcome to walk along the whole time and ask questions as they come up.
Arrive and set up
The inspector arrives with tools, moisture meter, ladder and drone, and confirms what is accessible — attic, crawlspace, roof, panel, garage and any locked areas.
Roof and exterior
Roof covering and flashings, gutters and downspouts, grading and drainage, retaining walls, siding and trim, decks, steps, driveways and exterior doors and windows.
Systems and interior
Attic and insulation, foundation and structure, water heater, plumbing supply and drainage, electrical panel and devices, heating and cooling, chimney, and interior rooms.
Walk-through and report
Questions are answered on site and afterward. The written report with photographs follows, and you can call to talk through any finding you want explained.
